Any registered seller with a verified Nigerian address and bank account can list items for auction.
No. Listing is free. However, a commission is charged upon a successful sale.
General merchandise including electronics, fashion, collectibles, household items, and more. Prohibited items include weapons, counterfeit goods, and illegal products.
When creating a listing, you’ll be prompted to upload clear, high-quality photos (up to 5 per item).
Yes. Sellers may set a hidden reserve price. The item will not be sold unless bids meet or exceed this threshold.
You can only edit listings that have no bids. Once bidding starts, edits are limited to minor details.
You may cancel a listing only if there are no bids. Once a bid is placed, cancellation is not allowed.
Yes. Sellers can enable a “Buy Now” price for users who prefer instant purchase rather than bidding.
Sellers can choose between 3-day, 5-day, 7-day, or 10-day auctions.
No. Unsold listings must be manually relisted by the seller.
BIDDING PROCESS
Simply log in, go to the item’s page, and enter your bid amount. Bidding must be higher than the current bid by at least the minimum increment.
Bids are binding and cannot be retracted except under special circumstances reviewed by customer support.
Yes. You will receive email and in-app notifications if someone places a higher bid.
Yes. By using “Auto Bid,” the system will automatically increase your bid up to your maximum limit.
The first bid placed at that amount is given priority.
No. Sellers are strictly prohibited from bidding on their own listings.
You’ll receive a confirmation and payment instructions. Payment is due within 48 hours.
Failure to pay after winning may result in suspension or permanent account termination.
Yes, only if the “Buy Now” option is used or the listing is withdrawn before any bids.
Yes. However, auctions are automatically extended by 2 minutes if a bid is placed within the final 60 seconds.
PAYMENT & PRICING
Debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and payment via wallet (Amitia Wallet).
No. Payments are made to Amitia.net’s escrow system and released to the seller once the buyer confirms delivery.
Log in, go to “My Auctions Won,” and proceed to payment using any supported method.
Not currently. All payments must be made in full before shipment.
No hidden fees. Only applicable taxes, shipping, and auction commissions are shown at checkout.
Any excess payments are refunded to your Amitia Wallet within 24 hours.
Late payments may incur a 5% penalty and risk account suspension.
All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦). Foreign buyers are not supported at this time.
Payments are automatically confirmed via the platform. Manual confirmation is not needed.
You can request cancellation within 2 hours of payment if the item hasn’t shipped.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Sellers are responsible for shipping but must use tracked courier services approved by Amitia.net.
Only if the seller offers a local pickup option during listing.
Based on item weight, location of buyer and seller, and courier rates.
Paid for goods must be shipped within 48 hours.
A tracking number will be provided via email and in your order dashboard.
If no tracking update is provided within 72 hours, you may request a refund.
If the item is faulty or not as described, the seller pays. Otherwise, the buyer covers the cost.
Yes. Sellers must specify shipping zones during listing.
If tracking confirms loss, a full refund is issued from the escrow.
Only if the same seller is involved and offers combined shipping.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Yes, within 5 days of delivery if the item is faulty or not as described.
Go to “My Orders,” select the item, and click “Request Return.”
3–5 business days after the returned item is received and verified.
Contact Amitia Support. We will intervene and may refund you directly.
Yes, under the same return policy as auctioned items.
SELLER COMMISSIONS & PAYOUTS
7% flat commission on final sale price (excluding shipping).
Within 2 business days after the buyer confirms receipt.
Funds are released automatically 5 days after delivery confirmation from the courier.
The order is canceled, and the buyer may be suspended. Sellers are encouraged to relist the item.
Yes. Disputes put payouts on hold until resolved by Amitia Support.
